Meek (Eureka HQ) is a production startup platform: role-based onboarding, people and startup discovery, investor deal pipelines, mentorship requests, events with tickets, Learn courses, jobs, challenges, accelerators, and real-time messaging — served by one Laravel API to Angular web and Expo mobile.
A startup marketplace that already runs the full loop
Meek connects entrepreneurs listing startups, investors tracking deals, mentors taking requests, and students/universities using events, jobs, courses, societies, and accelerators. Web is live; mobile is a full Expo rewrite of the old native apps; the same Laravel 12 API with Stripe/PayPal, Pusher, GCS, Mixpanel, and Sentry powers both.
A multi-sided product is only as strong as its security and consistency
Building five role homes, payments, messaging, and marketplace flows is hard enough. The real risk shows up later: IDOR on attendee rosters, chat membership leaks, unpaid checkout races, and mobile/web drift. Meek needed production hardening and a coherent delivery path to the stores — not another feature dump.

Ship the loop, then harden the edges that break trust
We delivered and stabilized the full product loop on web and mobile, then ran a security and payments pass: auth-gated attendee data, society chat membership checks, ownership on profile writes, Stripe/PayPal order persistence, and regression suites covering IDOR, SQLi, and challenge teams — so demos and store builds sit on a safer base.

Fixed messaging recipient/Pusher id mismatches, society saves, Learn pagination edits, event organiser payload bugs, and notification deep-links that were blocking real users.

Expo app covering auth, role onboarding, search, chat, startups, jobs, events, challenges, accelerators, Learn, mentors, and investor pipeline — with automated tests and EAS build profiles.

Security & payments pass
Reviewed data-access sites, closed IDOR and chat leaks, tightened role gates, and added regression tests for attendees, PayPal completion, SQL injection, and challenge teams.

Store-ready packaging
Aligned web and mobile on the shared API, crash reporting, analytics, and delivery handoff so Meek can be demoed securely and pushed toward store distribution.

Hard problems we actually closed
Authorization bugs that look like features
Attendee rosters, society chats, and notification feeds looked fine in the UI — until any logged-in user could read emails or private groups. We closed those with ownership checks and tests.
Checkout that double-fires under stress
Paid event flows needed order persistence before Stripe and dead capture paths removed so Pay now could not create inconsistent state.
Keeping web and mobile honest
One Laravel API serving Angular and Expo only works if role gates and payloads stay consistent — we treated FE-only gates as incomplete and moved enforcement to the backend.
